It seems that some PowerEdge servers (including T300) do not update the display unless another command is sent (as specified in http://www.dell.com/downloads/global/power/ps4q04-20040204-Murphy.pdf). So you need to execute &quot;ipmitool raw 0x6 0x58 194 0&quot; to validate the text update.</description>
